Lanikai Beach

Lanikai beach is one of my go-to beaches in Oahu. The parking can be tricky, there are no bathrooms or changing areas, and the crowd can be a bit overwhelming.....BUT it's all worth it to me. This beach is all about relaxation and taking it all in. The sand is super soft, the water is always the perfect temperature and the waves are usually mild to non-existent. The beach sits on the southeast side of the island just south of Kailua beach (another favorite beach of mine). Go early and bring sunblock. It is often pointless to post a beach tent or top cover because this area is usually windy. The wind is a nice cool breeze coming off the islands and always welcoming. This is a great beach to bring a blanket and a small cooler to relax. Kids can play in the sand and get in the tame water and enjoy themselves. If you're looking for a nice chill beach Lanikai is the place to go.
